《爬蟲學雜志》是一份國際性的科學雜志，發表有關兩棲動物和爬行動物自然歷史的論文。實驗、觀察和理論研究與評論和書評一起出版。一般調查的動物群列表、信件和結果，除非能闡明更廣泛意義上的爬蟲學問題，否則不會發表。

The Herpetological Journal is an international scientific journal that publishes papers on the natural history of amphibians and reptiles. Experimental, observational and theoretical studies are published along with reviews and book reviews. Faunistic lists, letters and results of general surveys are not published unless they shed light on herpetological problems of wider significance.
