該雜志以每年四期的形式，旨在討論該領(lǐng)域的新發(fā)展，其水平適合一般的核和粒子物理學(xué)家，并在更深的技術(shù)層面探討這些領(lǐng)域中最重要的進展。雖然大多數(shù)的文章將在一個或其他系列的標題的字段,是由一個特定的努力把話題接口類型的粒子和核物理很重要,特別是介子的作用等問題,等壓線和夸克在核結(jié)構(gòu)和復(fù)雜的使用核探測基本粒子的對稱性。其他主題，如核物理在醫(yī)學(xué)和考古領(lǐng)域的應(yīng)用，也將不時得到處理。天體物理學(xué)家也會對編輯收錄的有關(guān)核形成和相關(guān)問題的文章特別感興趣。

Taking the format of four issues per year, the journal aims to discuss new developments in the field at a level suitable for the general nuclear and particle physicist and also, in greater technical depth, to explore the most important advances in these areas. Although the majority of the articles will be in one or other of the fields of the title of the series, a particular effort is made to treat topics of an interface type for which both particle and nuclear physics are important, in particular such matters as the role of mesons, isobars and quarks in nuclear structure and the use of complex nuclei for probing fundamental particle symmetries. Other topics such as the application of nuclear physics in the medical and archaeological fields will also be treated from time to time. Astrophysicists, too, will be particularly interested in the Editor's inclusion of articles on nucleo-genesis and related matters.
