《電線能源與環境》是一種新型的能源技術、安全與環境影響評價刊物。能源是社會福祉和繁榮最關鍵的資源之一。它還造成不利的環境和社會影響，特別是氣候變化，這是現代最嚴重的全球性問題。為未來的挑戰找到令人滿意的解決方案需要將能源技術創新、安全、能源貧困以及環境和氣候影響聯系起來。能源問題的廣泛范圍需要不同科學和技術學科之間的協作，以及工程、物理和生命科學家、經濟學家、社會學家和決策者之間的強大互動。

WIREs Energy and Environment is a new type of review journal covering all aspects of energy technology, security and environmental impact.Energy is one of the most critical resources for the welfare and prosperity of society. It also causes adverse environmental and societal effects, notably climate change which is the severest global problem in the modern age. Finding satisfactory solutions to the challenges ahead will need a linking of energy technology innovations, security, energy poverty, and environmental and climate impacts. The broad scope of energy issues demands collaboration between different disciplines of science and technology, and strong interaction between engineering, physical and life scientists, economists, sociologists and policy-makers.
