日本金屬學會學報（日文版）是一本專業期刊，刊登英文原版技術論文概要和圖表。日本金屬研究所（JIM）成立于1937年2月14日，是一個非營利性的公共組織，其主要目標是促進和發展金屬及相關工程材料的科學技術。

Journal of The Japan Institute of Metals (in Japanese) is a specialist periodical of original technical papers with synopses and figures in English. The Japan Institute of Metals,JIM, was founded as a non-profit public organization on February 14,1937 with the primary objective of promotion and development of science and technology of metals and related engineering materials.
